- Accumulator
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for you to get a payout.
- AML
- Anti‑Money Laundering – rules that require the sportsbook to detect and stop illegal money flow.
- Asian Handicap
- A point spread that gives a virtual advantage to the underdog and a disadvantage to the favorite, making odds closer to evens.
- Bankroll Management
- A plan for setting aside, budgeting, and tracking the money you use for betting.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different outcomes from the same match, like goals, cards, and corners, into one wager.
- Bet Limit
- The maximum amount you are allowed to wager on a particular betting market.
- Bonus Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle a bet early, either locking in a profit or cutting a loss, before the event finishes.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible match results, increasing your chance of winning.
- Evens
- Odds of 2.0, meaning you win the same amount as your stake if the bet wins.
- Fixed Odds
- The payout odds set when you place the bet; they will not change regardless of later market moves.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing a wager on a match after it has started, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Juice
- The built‑in commission the sportsbook charges on each bet, usually reflected in the odds.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer – a required identity check to prevent fraud and comply with regulations.
- Lay Bet
- Betting that an outcome will not happen, typically done on a betting exchange rather than a sportsbook.
- Market
- A specific betting option, such as match winner, total goals, or first scorer.
- Maximum Payout
- The highest amount the sportsbook will pay out on a winning bet, regardless of the odds.
- Odds
- A number that reflects how likely an outcome is and determines how much you can win.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether a statistic, like total goals, will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A single bet that combines multiple selections; all must win for a payout, similar to an accumulator.
- Push
- A tie result where the bet is neither a win nor a loss, and your stake is returned.
- Spread Betting
- A bet where your profit or loss depends on how accurate your prediction is relative to a line.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered seem higher than the true chance of the outcome, giving an edge.
- Void Bet
- A bet that is canceled and your stake is refunded, usually because the event was postponed or ruled off.
